Ooku - The Women of the Inner Palace
Traducător: autarhe_a - În timpul celui de-al 17 şogun Tokugawa, Palatul Interior din Castelul Edo era un vârtej de dorinţe, gelozie, frustrare şi ură. Palatul era condus de Doamna Gekkoin, mama şogunului Ietsugu, împreună cu Ejima, şefa doamnelor însoţitoare. Deşi avea o poziţie privilegiată, Doamna Gekkoin era şi extrem de vulnerabilă. Pentru că şogunul avea doar 5 ani şi nu-şi putea exercita cu adevărat autoritatea, Doamna Gekkoin trebuia să-i protejeze poziţia în Palatul Central cu ajutorul seniorului de Echizen dar să se pună şi pe sine la adăpost de uneltirile soţiei şi concubinelor fostului şogun. Simţindu-se foarte singură, Doamna Gekkoin nu ezită să se dăruiască trup şi suflet protectorului fiului ei şi ajunge să facă o pasiune greu de controlat pentru seniorul de Echizen. Dar această iubire ce încalcă grav regulile stricte ale Palatului Interior pune în pericol nu doar viaţa celor doi îndrăgostiţi ci şi pe a doamnei Ejima. Din momentul în care bârfele încep să circule prin palat şi ajung la urechile soţiei fostului şogun batjocura devine făţişă şi un plan murdar e pus imediat în aplicare.
