Totuşi, din Anale lipseşte descrierea a 15 zile din domnia regelui Gwanghae, al 15-lea rege al dinastiei, zile la care acesta s-a referit cu cuvintele: "Omul nu trebuie să înregistreze ceea ce doreşte să ascundă". Aceste 15 zile lipsă au dat prilej la nenumărate speculaţii, însă fără niciun rezultat. Filmul MASQUERADE, sau GWANGHAE, OMUL CARE A DEVENIT REGE încearcă să umple aceste 15 zile lipsă printr-o poveste captivantă şi emoţionantă, care nouă ne-a dat momente deosebite de satisfacţie. Nu contează că s-a spus despre film că e realizat după ideea romanului Prinţ şi Cerşetor, de Mark Twain, nu contează că a fost unul dintre cele mai vizionate filme de către publicul coreean, nu contează că a adus încasări uriaşe, contează însă că rămânem impresionaţi şi emoţionaţi după vizionarea lui şi cuceriţi din nou de jocul excepţional şi plin de sensibilitate cu care ne-a obişnuit deja marele actor Lee Byung-hun, pe care îl cunoaştem deja cu toţii, aici în rol dublu, acela al regelui Gwanghae şi al comediantului Ha-sun.
